The house is taking some more shape with some of the trusses going up today. Progress is slow but it is moving ahead.

Finally made a start on putting the frames into their correct positions. We may end up with a Bigger house after all.

Because I didn't have to move the frames enough the first time Drew and I moved them in, Dad and I moved them all around again today. I will be glad when they are all out of the yard and in place for the house.

I was at work, had pains in my chest all day, didn't mention it to anyone until 3pm then received message bashing from the Morgans and Cassandra until I went to hospital. Which as it turns out, I was correct there is nothing wrong.

Cass has been talking about the all you can eat chinese restaurant in Dickson for a while now, but Mr Morgan "discovered" it the other day (lack of listening from someone).

A very long drive home today with it taking about half an hour to get 5 kilometres into braidwood. From there it was smooth sailing (well driving) until we got home to find the mess left from all the water. It's very annoying that it has happened again. Time to move I think.

While we were down the coast we found out about the flooding from Fergus Road which has affected the shed.
We spent a good part of the day at the beach with Maddie building sandcastles and looking in rock pools.

Saturday!! Australia Day!!
Awwww a Saturday morning that I not at work. Man it's nice!
Well we are down the coast at Ulladulla staying at my dads place. I love looking out on to the lake there, it seems so peaceful. This morning we got up and going reasonable early to make the Mollymook markets. They were pretty busy with some interesting things there. While there we purchased Maddie a fairy skirt. Of course she loved it, so after her day nap I took her for a stroll down near the water ( with her fair skirt ). It was a nice day and no rain which is unusual as it normally rains at the coast when we visit.

FRIDAY!!
Well it's another week brought to an end... But this Friday is better than most. It's followed by a long weekend!!
It was a quite day at work today. Which is a good and a bad thing. Bad in the way it's not good for business but great as in, we got an early mark. As we were headed to the coast for the long weekend, being for Australia Day, Cass bought me some Australian flags. Which I have been taking about getting for a couple of years. So undecided to put they on the car before we left.
The drive down was different. I decided to try a new of getting to the coast. While there is a lot less traffic on the road, the traffic you do see is crazy!! Lets just say we probably won't be going that way again soon.

Thursday!!
Schnitty day!! It seems like such a long time since we went and had Schnitty at the leagues club with the Morgans. As usual the food was great and laughs were had.
The girls really love the stairs and playing around at the too of them. I think that's the only part they look forward to.

Wednesday...
It's a week of building this week.
The picture of Maddie of my computer screen is what I see everyday when I open up. This arvo when I got home Maddie decided we had to play stamp. I do love coming home and playing with her. We went to Cass's dad place for dinner tonight. As usual the authentic Chinese was very tasty. After dinner I helped Amy dexterfy Leroy before she started spray painting.
It's a week of building this week.

Tuesday... Tomorrows hump day!
Another long day at work. It's been busy at work which is good. Just hard keeping up with everything I have to do.
I got to finally try the cafe at Robbo's motorcycles today. Dad needed some tyres fitted to wheels he had resprayed so while I was out doing that I had lunch. A very nice club sandwich. It would give the coffee club a run for its money! Although pretty sure the coffee club would be cheaper.
Today after dinner I popped up to Dave's place to help Amy do see work on Leroy. I have been saying for a whole now I wanted to help her out. It finally happened today, since no house building is happening this week. I got to use a peed file, never used one before but it does seem to make light work of sanding a large area. It was really enjoyable work on a car again, something I haven't done in quite a while. Hopefully well get seeing of my own I can potter about on soon enough.

Monday... The start of another working week.
Nothing really unusual happened today. Normal long day at work.
After dinner today we went up to Dave's place to see how Amy is going with the revamp on Leroy. Maddie decided she and Dave had to get in and take Leroy for a drive.
Once home Maddie then wanted to take my land cruiser for a drive. She certainly is cure and growing her imagination.
Nothing really unusual happened today. Normal long day at work.

Sunday, the last day of the weekend.
This Sunday started off very good. I got a sleep in until 10!! Well I was Woking up at 9.30, but didn't get out of bed until 10!! I can remember the last time I got to sleep in like that!
When we finally got out of the house, we made our way out to Majura to have coiffed club for breakfast/lunch. We caught up with Mr Morgan as well. The food was very tasty!!
Once back home Maddie has a great sleep. Well as it turned out we all had a bit if a nap. So late this afternoon Cass asked me to was the wall so she could try out the sample pot of paint, we got it about Christmas time. Personally I like it. Maddie did to. Cass is a bit unsure about it, but she will come around. While we were out side Maddie came out for a play, she sure does live digging in the dirt, as you can see!
After we came back in and Maddie was all cleaned up Cass bought out Maddie's first fairy dress up costume, which she bought today. Maddie was very excited to put it on. She sure is our little princess.

Saturday.
Worked this morning. It wasn't bad morning. After work I had to deliver a book case Cass sold over FB. Andrew from work helped me with the moving. It became a little tricky once we got the book case inside the ladies house but nothing I couldn't handle.
This arvo after having a little rest watching tv, while Cass and Maddie slept. I cut into the back wall of the house. We are now ready to start putting the frames up...Exciting!!! Once that's was finished I met up with Simon at the dog park, Scar. It was good and I was very happy with the way Bax and Tucker got along... Hopefully it's something that can happen more often.

FRIDAY!! Yay!!
Well it was one super hot day today... I have been told between 40-42 degrees!! I can't remember when it was last that hot in Canberra. Since it was so hot we got to go home half hour early. Well we tried anyways. Drew and I got out about 15 minutes before closing time.
Today when I got home Maddie was up for some drawing. I always find it fun to draw with her. She is learning very quickly...

Thursday...Pay Day...
Well it's another day at work...
The good thing I got out of today was a call from the council. We found out today that the addition to our DA has been approved. Great news, but just another job or me to do though. I am looking forward to having the door to our front lawn.

Well Hump day has arrived... And Gone.
It's seemed to last forever though. Maybe because I was looking forward to Schnitty at the Mawson club... Which turned out to a little bit average... But Maddie and Grace do like playing in the awesome play room they have. Which bought on my first step parenting situation. There where two kids fighting, one really just standing up for himself. There pushing each other around and fell on top of Grace. I raised my voice and said " stop fight you two" we'll they did, but one kid got really upset and went and told his mum. There was no confrontation, I explained to situation and all was good.
After dinner when stood in the car park while the girls played in the back of my car... They are pretty cute playing together.

Tuesday... A busy start to the but it did get a little quiet during the afternoon, which gave me a chance to catch up from Friday and yesterday.
Cass had a doc appointment today so Karyn watched Maddie while she was out. Since dad was coming over after work to help finish the flooring off they stayed for dinner. We had BellyGood. The food so far has been tasty and enjoyable to eat. My photo today is of the finished sheet flooring, YAY!! So now on to the frames... Which is a b little bit scary...

Monday.. Back to work after what seems a super short weekend. It's been busy at work since everyone came back on the seventh, which is good for business. Today I got my car services, while there I had some wind shields put on the driver and passenger windows. I have always liked having them, though they haven't made as much difference to the amount of wind that comes in. But I still like them.

Well it's Sunday...
Cass did t want to waste today as we had a few things we needed to get done. As it turns out she meant she didn't want me to waste the day. She sat on eBay most of the day. So after cleaning the shed mowing front and back lawns and pooper scooping, and doing a bit of house work, I finally found some time to play with Maddie. She got Mr potato head for Christmas and she loves it. As you can see two of my photos are of her creating a new Mr Potato Head, well telling me which parts to put where anyway.
I also got a chance to pop down to maccas for frozen cokes, while there this banged up excel was there wrapped in police tape. Not a usual sighting for maccas.

Well it's Saturday and I have it off!! Unfortunately it got to 37 degrees so not much was done today. Cass and I took Maddie to Majura shopping. While there we had lucnh at the coffee club. It's was time to bring Maddie home for a sleep. We got home, Maddie went down for a sleep. I decided to take Tucker ( our dog ) for a bath and nail clip. While I was there Maddie did the biggest number three I think we have ever seen. So I got tucker washed and nail clipped to find a message and a photo on my phone of Maddie with poo all over her. Message read along the lines of " Nathan!! Hurt up I need you NOW!!"
Once we got Maddie showered and redressed we took her to the tunnel park at Hjs. We met up with the Morgans and Grace and Maddie played and something to eat.
Once back home Cass went back on the cleaning/ disinfecting spree!! Maddie and I played with Mr Potatoe head before some dinner.

Friday... Last day of the working week for me this week as I have this Saturday off!
I organised to go to dinner at the Qbn golf club tonight. We went with the Morgans and Claire, Matt and Hugh. It was a $15.00 all you could eat buffet. The choice of food was a little limited and the food itself was pretty average. But not greasy.
After we ate we went for a walk ove the Claire and Matts place. It was a nice walk through the golf course (they live on the course in a townhouse). Maddie decided she wanted to stop and have a play in the dirt. Not long after we stopped the sprinklers came on and since Maddie was filthy from playing in the dirt, I took her for a slow walk underneath them. We both got soaking wet.
It was a nice night, thanks to everyone for coming.

Wow it's Thursday! That means the tenth of January already!! I have a feeling this year is going to fly by! Cass will be thirty before she knows it!
Today after work dad and I did a little more work on the extension. We started on the rest of the flooring. Not much more to do now just two spots that require a fair bit of cutting but shouldn't take to long and that part will be finished. ( hopefully )
As I was packing up the tools, I looked up at our recently moved tv antennae. Simon move it us late last year as it was on the back wall of the house. I thought to myself, I quite like the aerial in its new spot. Thanks again Simon for moving it and improving out tv reception.
The third photo I have shares today was on my FB wall. I really like the idea, even though that is a laundry room and not a kitchen with the laundry put in it, this picture has inspired my train of thought and maybe it's something we can work on by combining our kitchen laundry area to gain some more space in the kitchen. Just a thought for the future.

It seemed to be a better day at work, even though it did get pretty quiet this afternoon. I did end up leaving work a bit late which meant getting home late. This means while Cass is organising dinner, Madison has a free run in the lounge room. I came home to the lounge room looking like the photo. Now starts the job of trying to tidy it. Maddie did eat more at dinner, a lovely cold meat and salad meal Cass prepaid for us. So hopefully this means she will sleep through the night.

Tuesday. Not very busy at work today. So after works dad and I got a little bit more of the floor done and worked out where I need to put in another joist. I think this little extension is going to have more joists in it then the rest of the house does.
When it came to Maddies bed time she did everything to put if off. In the photo she was pretending I wasn't in the room and playing with a new you she got for Christmas.

It was the first day everyone was back at work today after the Christmas holidays. Yay. It was busier today which is a good sign. Karyn brought back a menu from a new food place in Queanbeyan called BellyGood. It's a new Chinese place, the food wasn't to bad actually. After dinner tonight I was out watering the garden and Cass came out to say hello. As I always do, I started a water fight. But this time I got as wet as Cass did. I didn't get to see Maddie much today, it seemed she was to busy playing. But tonight when she was going to bed I had to lie on the floor in her bedroom with her, Just so he could use me as a blanket to hide from her mum... Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it happening but still a nice memory.

Sunday, and it's over already... So after a dodgy sleep last night I woke full of energy. I decided to make a start on the flooring. Thanks to Cass's dad for coming down and helping me. We got about half way through before it got way to hot to do anymore. For dinner tonight we went to the tourist with my Dad and Karyn. I like the food at the tourist...

It's the first day of the week end. This Saturday we have decided to do a road trip to Wollongong with Dave, Yan and Jackie,to see some of Cass's family and to see Nan Tein Temple. The temple grounds are huge and very nicely kept. I liked walking around and seeing the Chinese the culture. While up that way we went to see the blow hole in Kiama. It wasn't windy enough to see the blow hole in full action, but it was still nice to see. We also took Maddie to the beach and she loved it. Then we decided to go back to Cass's aunties and have some fish and chips for dinner... Then the long trip home. We got home about 9.30.

It's Friday, the end if a short week back at work after Christmas holidays. Since its been pretty quiet at work, we closed early. So I decided it was time to bite the bullet and spend some money on new shorts. Two hundred and twenty dollars later, a trip into civic got me two pairs of shorts and a pollo.

It's Thursday!! Which means going out for dinner with the Morgans. Tonight was the Qbn leagues club, always a hit, since its ten dollar Schnitty night! Maddie discovered the bars that wrap the windows. She loved using them as monkey bars.

The food looked and tasted great. Maddie loved using the chop sticks, she didn't get the hang of it really but did work out stabbing the food worked just as well.
